Hello! My name is Alex Sermon. I live in Southern California with my husband, Wayne and our two little studs, River (3) and Wolfie (1 1/2) . In college, I studied ballet, photojournalism and graduated with a degree in print journalism. Since then, I have worked at a media company, freelanced for their websites, joined a ballet company, studied yoga and traveled as a road rat on the Imagine Dragons tour bus, which my husband is a member of (felt I needed to clarify that I was not a random groupie...well maybe a groupie, just not a random one) I documented a lot of this on my original blog which you can catch up on here but I wanted a fresh start that was more my aesthetic.

 

I have always loved to tell stories, it's why I went into journalism. I try to take note of the beauty in everyday life. It helps give me perspective on how many of the ordinary moments we live are worth celebrating. Here, I will write about my experiences however grand or trivial because I think it's important to remember them all.

Why "GOLDEN?"

The word has more than a few meanings for me, the most obvious being that gold is my husband's signature color, almost all of this guitars are gold. But if I am being less literal, I think the word has the perfect balance of warmth and gusto.
